We had a great day out in Malton earlier this month, brewin up a storm with Bad Seed Brewery.

After discussing recipes we decided to go for a 6.2% West Coast IPA . Lots of hops, unfined and unfiltered... It's going to be one juicy brew.

Ross and myself had a great time brewing with Chris and James. They were very welcoming and the coffee was flowing (very important for the brewing process). As we are thinking about our expasion plans it's great to talk to other brewers about their experiences with buildings, brew kits and water supply. Thanks for the advice guys!

Hitchhiker will be released in cask and KeyKeg week beginning 13th November.

At the end of April we were lucky enough to be invited to take part in the first of the K&WVR Diesel and Ale days. This is essentially a tap takeover on a train!

We had great fun. Three of our beers were available - Räucher, Pale and Stout - on the bar. This was our first tap takeover after our launch in the Fox & Newt in January. It's great to meet the people who are trying our beers and get feedback. Thank you to everyone who popped by for a pint (or half).

We have also been asked back to supply a bar for the Steam & Ale days (10/11th June). Our bar will beat Haworth Station so be sure to pay us a visit.

Of course we also need to say a massive "Thank you" to the staff who looked after us on the day. Derek the bar man was fab company and we look forward to seeing him again.

The next event is Saturday 27th May and Bingley Brewery will be taking over the taps! More info can be found here.

On International Women's Day this year, Ross and myself were talking and the idea of doing an all female brew came up. We know this isn't a new idea, not by any stretch of the imagination, but after starting Nomadic Beers I have been stuck in the office a little to much and I thought "Fantastic, a day in the brew house!"

So yesterday Izzy from the Fox and Newt and Christine Jopling, who designed our logo, came along to help me brew the first batch of Itza - a chocolate orange stout at 5.5%.

I think fun was had by all.

We will be repeating this brew in the future and hope female staff at the pubs, clubs and bars we supply will come along and help out. - a hands on chance to learn about the process of brewing.

Itza will be available in cask from 8th May - dropus a call or email to order one!

Cheers,

Katie
